Image result for pictures of good health and wellbeingThe health tips I research are the result of a continuing barrage of questions I receive regarding, what some people would consider a silly question, to serious concerns. I will address them individually as follows.

  • ITCHING and SWELLINGS:  These issues are experienced when you are detoxing and  when you are not detoxing. They can be the contraindication of prescription drugs you may be taking for various health issues. There can be many swellings that erupt from the skin, to include, blisters and tumors. Tumors can become larger before they are dissolved. Most swellings are very short lived. This is a good time to eat lots of fruit.  Itching, as a factor in detoxification is mostly caused by a fungal or candida involvement. Itching can be a redness of the skin anywhere. It can be the result of insect bites, food allergies, etc. If caused by the detox process, it will be short lived. If it is caused by other factors, it is necessary to find the cause. Mercury fillings can cause severe itching. This also affects the brain as does other foods and chemicals to include MSG, Aspartame, Sucralose, Aluminum, etc. These are all neurotoxins. Itching can also be Adrenal gland failure.

If using a topical product, for itching, to be put on the skin, choose one that is natural. I find Aloe Vera gel right from the plant to be beneficial. If it is caused by fungal infestation, that infestation needs to be killed. A good herbal parasite formula supplement is extremely valuable at this time. Fungi live in lymphatic congestion so work on the lymphatic system as well; herbal formulas along with exercise will help with this. (Check out Dr. Morse’s Botanical Pharmacy)

  • BOWEL MOVEMENTS: If you don’t already know, it is vital that you have at least one bowel movement per day; however, 2 or 3 times would be better. Optimal  bowel health is having a bowel movement about one to two hours after each meal. More than 3 bowel movements is referred to as IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome). This is inflammation within the GI (gastrointestinal) tract to include the stomach, the small intestine, the colon or large intestine, all of which can result in Diverticulitis which is the inflammation of the bowel, a formation of intestinal pockets, where food tends to get trapped and ferments. You can have loose, runny stools, or difficult stools, both of which can be referred to as constipation, but each in it’s own way. Both are very hard on the body, including the absorption of putrefaction from foods that are being held in the intestines. The destruction of the intestinal wall can begin as well if these food residues become impacted. To keep the bowels moving it is imperative that you consume lots of fresh raw fruits and veggies. You need to move and restore those bowels! They are the “hub of your body!” The ‘Botanical Pharmacy’ has excellent formulas to help this problem.

HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE: also referred to as Hypertension. Dementia, Alzheimer’s, Memory Loss can all be connected to High Blood Pressure. Studies today inform us that optimal blood pressure be 120/75 or less. High blood pressure shrinks the brain, is a killer of the eyes, is a killer of the arteries, the kidneys, etc. Symptoms include: dizziness, ear ringing, fatigue, nose bleeds, tingling in hands/feet. Seek a good natural Blood formula supplement, such as Pressassure for High Blood Pressure. I bought mine at Walmart.

  • CHOLESTEROL: There is a lot of confusion regarding Cholesterol. There are a myriad of prescription medicines prescribed by doctors to alleviate this issue. But do they work and what do they cause otherwise? Scientific studies have shown that Statin/Cholesterol lowering drugs can cause many diseases to include the kidneys, muscles, destruction of the liver, and inflammation in many parts of the body. Inflammation can be a cause of High Cholesterol levels in the body’s system. Your body makes its own cholesterol to be used as needed naturally. If you act on the knowledge you are receiving about good nutrition, cholesterol need not be a problem.

Are You Exhausted?

 

 

 

Image result for free pics of exhaustionEveryday I hear comments referring to ‘lack of energy’, ‘exhaustion’, “being tired all the time”, ‘I am fatigued’,  etc. These comments used to just come from the senior population, however, I now am hearing them from the younger generation – even teenagers.

Generally, most of our society today lives on stimulants for energy. You see them being touted on the TV on a regular time schedule everyday. “Eat an energy bar, drink an energy drink, don’t forget that cup of coffee, or fancy Latte’, take this prescription med, use this over-the-counter medication, have a ‘now’ fancy new beer or alcoholic beverage. These types of stimulants will eventually weaken your true energy center and glands. When you try to stop your intake of these stimulants, it is as bad as trying to stop drinking and taking drugs. It whiplashes you to feel very fatigued. Along with this it is important to know that the S.A.D. (Standard American Diet) is weakening your physical body, as well, not strengthening it. S.A.D. foods create a lot of inflammation and toxicity in the tissues, and soon you have tissue failure.

It seems that using stimulants has become the public’s way of treating the symptoms and not the cause of ‘loss of energy’ and ‘exhaustion’. This loss of energy, etc., is caused by the toxins that are broken up and released from the tissues back through the lymphatic system, and thyroid and adrenal gland. When these glands, which are part of the endocrine system are weak, fatigue, depression, and anxiety are the result.

Basically speaking the older the person, the greater the accumulated toxins in the system. But, with the younger generation, beginning as youngsters, to ingest stimulants into their systems – chronic fatigue is slowly becoming a huge health issue for them as well.

Simply – glandular weakness, chronic acidosis, unhappiness, chronic lung involvement, thyroid, adrenal weakness, malabsorption and sugar imbalance are all factors that can cause serious energy loss and change.

So, what is the resolution?  Cleansing the body of the toxins by detoxing the body with the ingestion of living foods (raw) and juices is a good start. This will help to rejuvenate the glandular weakness. This will not be an overnight event; it is not easy because as you go through the process of detoxification you will experience many aches and pains. Where there is a weakness and degeneration in the body, it will show itself through aches and pains. This is the body tugging, and drawing and pulling the toxicity out of itself. This is normal and should not be feared. This kind of aches and pains usually have a short life span from a few hours to a week. This is called a healing crisis, and you will notice the areas of the aches and pains becoming much stronger – after experiencing a healing crisis.

Also, Dr. Robert Morse – has in the past, and other medical doctors today, are saying “More rest, and a good night’s sleep is needed, especially if you are trying to detox, or change your lifestyle – in order to remove the bad habits you might have of using stimulants like coffee, tea, refined sugars and etc.”

If you can persist in the detoxification process, you will be successful at overcoming chronic fatigue, loss of energy, exhaustion, and many other health related issues.

Survival Tips – Ants

Image result for free pictures of antsI am adding this topic because we are bombarded on a daily basis with ideas to fix this and that, or to change this or that. People are always asking me, probably because I live in Florida, ” how do you get rid of the ants?” We have a lot of ants of every variety, fire ants, red ants, black ants, carpenter ants, sugar ants, Pharaoh ants, big ants, small ants – you name them we have them. With the war on pesticides taking place everywhere today, what do you do. Being a naturalist, I found a few ideas of how to get rid of ants with things you might have in your kitchen. You might want to try them.

  1. VINEGAR: Mix it with water in equal amounts into a spray bottle. Spray on the ant’s entry paths (if they are in your house). Ants don’t like the smell and avoid it. Also spray in corners, and on your counter tops, sink, and windows. Allow the vinegar to dry completely.
  2. TABLE SALT: Boil some water and add salt to it. Pour the salty water into a spray bottle and use where you see ants.
  3. PEPPER: As effective as salt, you can use black pepper or cayenne pepper. Again, mix with water and spray on areas where the ants appear or travel in your home.
  4. LEMON: Mix some lemon juice with water and spray it around all of the areas in your house where you see ants traveling. I did not know that this is one of the most effective way of getting rid of ants. I plan to try it.
  5. CUCUMBER: Guess what? Ants can’t stand the taste of cucumber. Cut a cucumber into pieces and place a piece in any ant affected area. Will they leave your house? Yes!
  6. BABY POWDER: You may not have this in your house, but if you want to try it, buy it and sprinkle it wherever you see ants. Ants are suppose to hate scented talcum. If you can figure out where the ants are coming from – sprinkle it at their place of entry.
  7. CORNMEAL: Spread the cornmeal over the affected areas, mainly the entry. Ants cannot digest cornmeal and they will die. I have used this on the ant bed in my yard and garden. It does seem to work. The ants explode as the cornmeal expands in their stomach.
  8. DISH SOAP: Liquid dish soap is an item most of us have in our homes. The components of soap are very harmful to all types of ants. They break down in waxy layers of the pests’ exoskeleton, causing dehydration. Mix the soap with water and spray it at the entry point. I also spray it on the counter tops and let it dry. As well, after cleaning my kitchen sink (this is where the ants are in my house), I use it full strength on the sink area. I spread it on with my hand and just leave it. Walla, no ants.

These are methods that I found can be used outside the home as well as inside the home. The best way to not have ants is to use preventative measures to keep them out.

  • Clear away liquid and food spillage immediately
  • Always cover the food you leave in the kitchen. I do not leave food in the kitchen, covered or uncovered.
  • Check you garbage bin lids. Be sure they are tightly sealed.
  • Clean off the counter tops to be make sure there are no food particles hiding underneath appliances, etc.
  • If you have pets, be sure you keep their area clean as well.
  • Outside? Keep compost covered if you are into making your own. Inside, keep it in the refrigerator until you are ready to use it.

The SECRET I have found is to keep all areas of your home CLEAN, CLEAN, CLEAN. Ants seem to be scavengers.

  • Change your eating habits – eat more fruits and vegetables, and wean yourself away from all RED MEATS. NUTRITION is changing in these latter days – or should I say is ‘returning to the old ways’ NATURAL!
  • Change your party habits – Avoid alcohol related drinks, eat healthy snacks, do not smoke or vape. Scientists and most health counselors are saying that VAPING destroys the lungs and will eventually kill you. Watch for the campaigns against vaping on the internet and TV.
  • Drink lots of water, not soda pop, beer, wine, coffee, etc. Water clears the toxins from your system. Helps to regenerate the cells as it slows down aging. Prevents dehydration. Dehydration can trigger the start of many diseases, such as UTI, etc.
  • Add good unadulterated Fish Oils (Omega 3’s and 7’s)  to your diet – for heart health, brain health, inhibits inflammation in order to support the cardiovascular system.
  • Omit all processed sugars from your diet. This protects your blood, and inhibits Diabetes, Dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, among other health issues.
  • Nurture your Memory and brain with Magnesium – lots of it. It is the proteins that accumulate in your brain as you age that causes memory loss, dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. Magnesium facilitates healthy brain sell signaling pathways. Magnesium is probably the most important mineral that you are NOT getting enough of. You need at least 250 mg per day if not more, depending on your body size and weight.
  • SLEEP, helps the body to regenerate itself. When the body is in the reset mode, that is when the body starts the healing process, that we are all so direly in need of.

This is just the beginning. DETOX, DETOX, DETOX.
