Hand sanitizers are going to be everywhere in the schools with the kids getting back to school. There are a lot of DIY Hand Sanitizer recipe’s on the internet. DIY’s are good to send to school with your kids as they won’t be so drying. The one’s purchased at the store have so many chemicals in them, basically 2/3 isopropyl alcohol that dries the skin, cause rashes, cracking and even bleeding or weeping sores on the hands. This is caused by long term use, of which has been going on for many, many months already.
Most of the DIY recipe’s use essential oils and they are not used with alcohol. They are usually used with water in diffusers and for other uses they are mixed with a carrier oil. Many of the essential oils have very strong antiviral and antibacterial properties. They are easy to find and generally are not very expensive. The secret is getting a good quality oil – of which a drop on a piece of paper should evaporate completely, and not leave an oily residue. This is the way it does on the skin. Antiviral oils include Cinnamon, Lemongrass, Bergamot, Thyme, Lavender, Lemon, Lime and Tea Tree. There are others but these are easier to obtain.
I found a recipe on Dr. Morse’s web site that I like and would like to share. Make the following into a blend.
40 drops essential oil
35 drops lemon essential oil
20 drops cinnamon essential oil
15 drops eucalyptus essential oil
10 drops rosemary essential oil
Store your blend in a dark glass bottle. To make the sanitizer add: 36 drops of the blend – or your own if you have one – to 2 ounces of Aloe Vera gel. Mix it well and pour into a squeeze or pump bottle. (Maybe you have a bottle saved from when you bought sanitizer at the store). Aloe Vera Gel can be purchased at Walmart and CVS – these are the 2 places I find it. Get the 100% Aloe Vera with no additives. Other wise you can grow your own and use the gel in the leaves. I do that as well.
This is a great DIY Hand Sanitizer. It will not dry, chafe or crack the skin as the Aloe Vera gel is a moisturizer. It is much safer than the store bought sanitizers – especially for children.
With the pandemonium (pan demon) going on in the world, which many folks have allowed to put and keep them in a panic mode – I would like to share a quote from Dr. Robert Morse, that seems to fit the situation.
“The weak are always consumed in this world. This is just the order of things so that life will continue to perpetuate itself. The strong always survive, one way or another, and this is true cellularly as well. It is vital that the body eliminates its weaknesses to increase its strength.”
Work on fixing your immune systems people. It is the secret to that cellular well being that he is talking about. The immune system is where the strength lies in the body.
GOD BLESS EVERYONE, AND GOD BLESS AMERICA!
